The Rutgers School of Public Health’s 100% Online Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Public Health degree educates students on how to assess determinants of global public health in a range of contexts based on the five major public health perspectives: systems and policies, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, and health education and behavioral science. As community advocates versed in global public health education, research, and practice, graduates will be prepared to devise thoughtful solutions to health challenges that consider the region’s social determinants of health and diverse data.

The Rutgers School of Public Health's 100% Online Master of Public Health (MPH) in Population Aging degree is designed to train scholars, clinicians, advocates, and community leaders to serve the needs of older adults – the fastest growing segment of the United States population. Graduates of the Master of Public Health in Population Aging program will improve their understanding of the needs, interventions, and challenges of this population to ultimately devise and implement innovative public health and policy solutions that improve health outcomes among older adults. Graduates also will be able to better address older adults' physical and mental health, as well as, overall well-being.

This degree provides a strong foundation in both the biological, environmental, and social determinants of diseases as well as methods courses; and seeks to prepare students to work in state and local health departments and other public health-related organizations. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified in Public Health Exam.

Designed to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, our program is the perfect way to develop new proficiencies and prepare yourself for leadership roles in clinical laboratory services and the broader healthcare industry. The clinical laboratory science program prepares students for managerial and leadership roles in clinical laboratory services and the health care industry by expanding skills in: Advanced clinical lab science; Management/Leadership/ Strategic planning/Finance; Quality assurance/Quality improvement; Informatics; Health professions education; and Research.

The Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition is an advanced-level, clinically focused, graduate degree program designed exclusively for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). We prepare graduates with the advanced knowledge, expanded skills, and intellectual maturity necessary to become progressive, innovative, and interprofessional practitioners and leaders in the dynamic health care environment. Note: This is a hybrid program with both synchronous and asynchronous courses, and requires 3 on-campus visits.

Clinical Research Professionals are essential to the study of new drugs and devices leading to improved medical outcomes for patients. The clinical research industry relies on professionals who are specially trained to navigate the complex world of medical product development to ensure safe and effective treatments reach patients. The Master of Science in Clinical Research Management is a 36-credit multi-disciplinary curriculum that builds a broad and well-rounded foundation for the clinical research professional. One of three tracks may be selected: Clinical Research Management; Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance; Academic Clinical Research Management.

The Masters in Health Informatics degree program is specifically designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of the appropriate systems, software and analytical techniques for use in Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Organizations, Health Insurance Companies and such. The program curriculum provides ample knowledge and practice of the use of state of the art AI, data science and analytical techniques and software for graduates to analyze, evaluate and implement the next generation of health informatics systems and services.

Our Master of Science in Health Information Management is designed for professionals with educational backgrounds in health information management, nursing, biostatics, genomics or overall health sciences, as well as any other equivalent fields of study. Our program will prepare you to be at the forefront of health information management and healthcare administration. A compact, 36-credit curriculum provides ample opportunities to enhance your skills in data analytics, information governance, informatics, health care databases, standard nomenclatures, health care finance, health care quality, and management.

Technology, quality, and patient safety–focused. Students develop expertise in leveraging information structures and processes, with a heavy focus on artificial intelligence and innovative technologies to support clinical decision-making, improve outcomes, and strengthen quality and patient safety across healthcare systems. Throughout the program, students engage in informatics projects that support nurses, patients, and interprofessional healthcare teams, preparing them to lead technology-enabled change across diverse roles and settings. *Courses are completed entirely online, while the required 500 practicum hours must be completed at an approved site.
