The three-course (nine-credit) graduate Nonprofit Management Certificate program provides pre-career and in-career students with graduate studies in the area of nonprofit management and leadership. This concentrated area of study prepares students who are interested or working in the nonprofit sector to develop competencies in important elements of nonprofit organization management and performance.

The certificate program is designed to educate students in the area of Clinical Trial Management. Students learn the key aspects of Clinical Trial design and conduct and have the opportunity to be trained in the fundamentals of Regulatory Affairs. Students will also gain an understanding of the drug development process and have the opportunity to take a business course, such as project management. If a student chooses to continue their studies to pursue the MBS degree with a concentration in Drug Discovery and Development, all credits earned are transferable to the MBS degree, pending approval to the graduate program.

The certificate in science and technology management provides business and business-oriented courses intended to supplement training in a science, mathematics, or engineering degree. Students who already possess a graduate degree in science, mathematics, or engineering may also apply independently for the certificate program. Individuals who have worked in industry for at least five years are eligible to apply for the certificate program as part-time students.

The Strategic Leadership Certificate examines productive leadership in its many facets, through the study of evidence-based approaches for motivating individuals and teams. Offered in collaboration with the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), the certificate focuses on clinical, organizational, workplace, public health, and policy approaches to suicide prevention. This unique approach to suicide prevention education will ensure that learners acquire knowledge of the economic, political, commercial, and social determinants of suicide. The certificate will prepare learners to implement, evaluate, and critique suicide prevention strategies at a time when the U.S. is experiencing rising suicide rates. This program is the first and only online certificate offered by a U.S. university that focuses exclusively on suicide prevention.

This program trains scholars, workers, advocates, and community leaders to address the complex challenges of sustainability as it relates to health, healthcare, and health systems. Students will gain skills to advance sustainability initiatives that contribute to the development of policies that foster environmental stewardship and societal well-being in support of public health.

The Certificate of Health Information Management will prepare you for the business side of healthcare. You’ll learn informatics, quality assurance, compliance, medical coding, and management. Upon graduating, you will be eligible to sit for the national credentialing examination to become a Registered Health Information Administrator RHIA). Credentialed graduates hold positions in data management, finance, compliance, health record management, and other areas.

The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Laboratory Science is an on-line 12-credit post-professional course of study for medical laboratory professionals who hold a baccalaureate degree and are certified (BOC-ASCP). The clinical lab science certificate program is designed for practicing professionals who want to advance their knowledge and skills in clinical lab science and develop new proficiencies needed to meet the challenges of a changing profession and health care system. If students are not ready to commit to the Master degree program, but wish to advance their knowledge in clinical laboratory science, the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Laboratory Science is an excellent option. 

The Conflict Resolution and Negotiation graduate certificate can help you better understand the sources of conflict in all organizations, learn mediation techniques to reduce differences between individuals or groups, facilitate better group processes, use negotiation techniques to resolve and reduce conflict, and understand how both nonunion and union workplaces deal with individuals who have grievances.
