The program curriculum provides ample knowledge and practice of the use of state of the art AI, data science and analytical techniques and software for graduates to analyze, evaluate and implement the next generation of health informatics systems and services.

Our Master of Science in Health Information Management is designed for professionals with educational backgrounds in health information management, nursing, biostatics, genomics or overall health sciences, as well as any other equivalent fields of study. Our program will prepare you to be at the forefront of health information management and healthcare administration. A compact, 36-credit curriculum provides ample opportunities to enhance your skills in data analytics, information governance, informatics, health care databases, standard nomenclatures, health care finance, health care quality, and management.

Technology, quality, and patient safety–focused. Students develop expertise in leveraging information structures and processes, with a heavy focus on artificial intelligence and innovative technologies to support clinical decision-making, improve outcomes, and strengthen quality and patient safety across healthcare systems. Throughout the program, students engage in informatics projects that support nurses, patients, and interprofessional healthcare teams, preparing them to lead technology-enabled change across diverse roles and settings. *Courses are completed entirely online, while the required 500 practicum hours must be completed at an approved site.
