This specialization provides the core knowledge of and exposure to issues related to accounting fraud and helps students better understand and develop the necessary skills to effectively participate in a world of business that is increasingly aware of and protective against criminal activities. Application of tools and procedures to detect and correct accounting fraud is a major part of this Certificate.

The Fundamentals of Business Graduate Certificate will enable you to describe basic business strategy and processes, enhance your knowledge of financial accounting and corporate finance, and develop your understanding of the language of business. This certificate can be taken stand-alone to build your skills or is stackable towards your MBA degree.

The 12-credit, non-degree graduate certificate in Gifted Education offered at the GSE is designed to help New Jersey educators, districts, and parents meet the challenges of educating gifted learners. This special program draws on input from district superintendents, teachers, parents, the Educational Information and Resource Center, and the statewide advocates, including the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children. The curriculum, developed in alignment with state and national standards, addresses the social and emotional development of the gifted child, curriculum design and implementation, pedagogy, instructional strategies, and the development and administration of a gifted education program. All courses in the program are 7-weeks long, so teachers can finish in one academic year!

The certificate program will prepare you to sit for the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) exam sponsored by the Association of Government Accountants. If you decide to matriculate later on, these courses can be applied toward the 10-course master’s degree program.

The Healthcare Informatics Certificate Program is specifically designed to quickly build up competencies in this exciting new field especially for those seeking a career change or advancement. Graduates of the Certificate program will be able to help identify information technology needs in their work environment, select appropriate off-the-shelf technological solutions and make modifications necessary to accomplish both generic and health specialty related activities.  They can effectively participate in strategic planning teams on institutional/organizational policies and investments of information technology in patient care and treatment systems, patient management systems and such. *Note* Starting Fall 2025, the program will be relaunched as the "AI in Healthcare Certificate" program.

The three-course (nine-credit) graduate Healthcare Administration Certificate program provides pre-career and in-career students with graduate studies in healthcare management and administration. Focusing on real-time and place-based case studies with experienced lecturers, students receive cutting-edge best practices information, helping them to position themselves to expand their professional careers in this area.

The Human Resources Development graduate certificate offered at the GSE is designed for those working or interested in working in human resources and who want to improve their skills and knowledge specifically regarding learning and teaching in the workplace. The coursework in the program will focus on skills, concepts, and strategies to improve the adult teaching and learning components of human resource development in organizations. Students will explore career and workforce development through a research-grounded lens of adult and continuing education theory and practice.

In order to build a financial plan for an individual or family, you need to take into consideration the many challenges and unique circumstances they face. In this Certificate, you’ll learn the strategies and techniques of Private Wealth Management (PWM). You’ll develop the core knowledge and skills needed to design a personalized and effective approach to wealth management.

The three-course (nine-credit) graduate Leadership of Public Organizations Certificate program provides pre-career and in-career students with advanced graduate studies in leadership and management within public organizations. This concentrated area focuses on leadership and management topics including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), management and leadership techniques, and a comprehensive review of all local, state, and federal policies that govern employment and employment practices.

The 15-credit, non-degree graduate certificate program in Maker Education offered at the GSE is designed to help educators and practitioners receive the education and resources necessary for developing competence and confidence to start, supervise, or use a Makerspace in a school, community center, or other learning space. The program is intended for participants to gain proficiency in maker-based learning activities or projects, including the development of curricula and assessments meeting common standards in STEM subjects. Participants will also explore how maker-centered projects can be leveraged as a vehicle for meaningful, discovery-based learning in mathematics, science, computer science, as well as integrated STEM/STEAM curricula.
